That’s exactly where dilemmas arise: what is fair, what is defensible, and how do you avoid (the appearance of) conflicts of interest?

The Nevi Code of Conduct is a practical tool that helps you make ethical choices in the procurement process transparent and traceable within your organisation and in collaboration with suppliers. The updated code (January 2026) provides clear guidance without becoming overly prescriptive: it offers direction through principles that can be applied across a wide range of situations.

About Nevi and the Code of Conduct

This guidance has been developed through co‑creation and replaces the previous 2012 code. The code is a form of self‑regulation: not a legal requirement, but a professional benchmark for ethical conduct across the procurement chain.

Ethical conduct is more than following rules

Professional and ethical behaviour is about acting in the spirit of the code, not merely the letter. The Code of Conduct helps you make decisions transparent and traceable both internally and externally.
