Zeist – Following an initial introduction during the IFPSM World Summit in September in Xiamen – organised by Nevi’s Chinese counterpart, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) – Nevi had the pleasure of welcoming an official delegation from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
On behalf of Nevi, Lizan Molmans and Jeroen Hulsman received Director General Li Jialu of the Department of Circulation Industry Development (global supply chain management), together with two colleagues and representatives from the Chinese Embassy.

Chinese delegation visits Nevi to exchange insights on supply chain innovation
A delegation from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce visited Nevi for an inspiring exchange on supply chain management, innovation and collaboration between China and the Netherlands.

During the visit, both parties exchanged insights on the role of professional associations, innovation within supply chain management, policy developments in the field of supply chain innovation, and potential opportunities for cooperation. “There are many similarities in how we approach SCM and procurement,” said Jeroen Hulsman. “In China, SCM is still a relatively young field that receives significant attention from the government. It’s developing rapidly, with many new professions emerging. Important initiatives have been launched to support this growth, such as a national advisory council for SCM policy, innovation hubs in 55 cities, and partnerships with 30 universities to ensure a steady flow of qualified professionals.”
The visit took place in a pleasant and open atmosphere, with mutual appreciation throughout. An inspiring and valuable meeting that lays the foundation for further international cooperation.
