Appeals procedure

If you disagree with the result or the assessment of part of your exam, you can submit an appeal. An appeal is a request for a reconsideration of (a part of) your assessment, based on clear and substantive arguments. Your exam will not be fully re‑marked; instead, only the elements you have motivated in your appeal will be reviewed.

Below, you can read which conditions apply and which steps you need to follow to submit an appeal.

Conditions for the appeals procedure

We can only process your appeal if you meet all of the following conditions:

  • You received a failing grade between 5.0 and 5.4.
  • You have paid the €120 fee excluding VAT in advance.
  • You submit your appeal within six weeks of the date of the results email.
  • The Appeals Procedure application form has been completed fully and correctly. For this, refer to “How to start an appeals procedure” further down on this page.

Voldoet je aanvraag niet aan deze voorwaarden? Dan kunnen we je bezwaar niet in behandeling nemen.
