To mark the anniversary year Nevi 70 years, we speak with members from different generations about their careers, ambitions and vision of the profession. In this portrait, we meet Vincent Delke (32), university lecturer in Purchasing and Supply Management at the University of Twente.
Vincent first encountered procurement during his studies in International Business Administration. Through a procurement track, a specialised master's programme and a doctoral research trajectory, he developed into an expert in procurement and technology. What appeals to him about the profession? The combination of collaboration, innovation and the opportunity to make a real impact on organisations.
In his current role, Vincent combines teaching, research and practical projects. His research focuses on the influence of technology on the procurement profession and how digitalisation is transforming the role of procurement professionals.
"The connection between academia and practice is incredibly valuable. We strengthen each other and learn from one another."University Lecturer in Purchasing and Supply Management, University of Twente
